I am a reliable, competent and knowledgable tutor who tailors sessions to client's individual needs. Whether you're struggling with a particular topic, or you're not sure which topics you're struggling with but want to improve your grade, I can accommodate.

Sessions with me will be interactive with the possibility to ask questions and talk about the material at all times so that any confusion about the topic can be addressed. In particular, I like to promote a scientific-based approach to learning, on top of focusing on exam preparation, which is exactly what universities look for and prepares you for your desired career.

Why Choose Edd?

For many tutors at the lower end of the pay spectrum, especially those working through agencies, tuition is just something they have to do to pay the bills, while aspiring to other career paths. This can too often mean that tutors are not only inexperienced and unenthusiastic, but also unreliable in terms of availability – even dropping students at short notice. For me tutoring is my career and I pride myself on offering the utmost commitment and professionalism, combined with my passionate interest in teaching my subjects. My rates are comparable to those of professionals in other fields that require similar qualifications and experience and obviously being self-employed I don’t get any extras such as holiday pay or pension provision.

Professionalism

I am not just a tutor, but also a coach and mentor. I am able to build a good rapport with my students and help them develop their confidence. This often has a positive influence on their performance in other subjects as well. Additionally, as well as my experience and qualifications, parents are paying for the time I put in outside of sessions, which includes preparing resources, communicating with them to provide feedback on progress, getting input on areas of priority for each student, keeping up-to-date with constantly changing exam board requirements, and continuously developing my professional skills and pedagogical understanding through reading and studying.
